2. I started using the background image lead capture pages and after I tweaked them a little I am able to get up to 5% conversion.
Before using them I averaged one optin for every 200 hits; this week one optin for every 30 hits and over 300 leads this week.

PS The reason the background image and video ( I prefer image) are so responsive is that gone are the days when you can send out the same page and same subject line over and over.
The days of doing the same page and subject line are gone. Members are attracted to new images etc.
Our brains are much more capable of storing information than we can imagine, and after a certain point our brains do not respond when it  sees the same lead capture page or even image.
The old adage that prospects need to see the item 7 times to act still hold true but not 49 times.
I change the subject lines minimum of once per week and the background image every two weeks, however I change the highlight text on the background image pages about twice a week.
Presently I am using background image lead capture pages about 100% 
Now for my best tip - I redirect many of these background image pages to my standard lead capture pages that I have been using for years.
